GIZEH by BIRKENSTOCK is a stylish all-rounder: extremely versatile yet unbelievably comfortable. Its design and function have remained unchanged since it was introduced in 1983, and the classic thong sandal stands out for its timeless style. Thanks to the buckle, the strap can be individually adjusted to the wearer’s feet. The anatomically shaped thong provides additional support for the toes and guides them back to their natural position.

UPPER MATERIAL: BIRKO-FLOR
Birko-Flor® is a skin-friendly, tear-resistant and easy-to-care-for synthetic material which is exclusively used by BIRKENSTOCK.


INSOLE: NATURAL LEATHER
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.


FOOTBED MATERIAL: CORK
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.


OUTSOLE: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.


CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Prolong the life of your Birkenstocks by following our care instructions:

  • Breaking in a new pair: Allow your feet to adjust to your new shoes by limiting wear to just a few hours the first five to six times.

  • Air footbeds regularly: Airing the footbeds prevents the build-up of odours caused by excess moisture.

  • Don’t immerse in water: Water can damage the cork and dissolve the glue/sealant.

  • Avoid extreme heat: Heat exposure can damage Birkenstocks. Avoid leaving them in the car or direct sunlight, and keep away from radiators and fireplaces.
